To make the pool area more inviting, it is good to incorporate proper aesthetics and unique designs. There are a number of additions you could make to drastically change the pool surroundings and deck area and make them more exciting. Here are some innovative plans that you could incorporate in your own custom pool design.
A musical stage
You could have the center area of the pool designed such that you could have a live band playing at the center of it. It would make an extremely fancy event spot for special occasions like birthdays and other parties. One of the few issues with such a design type is the electric output and wiring around the pool area. If you could get acoustic bands it would be easier. On general days, the area at the center could just act as a place to rest and dip your legs in the pool water. Be sure to have a thin passageway to the middle area without having to dive in!
A watering hole design
You could create an ambiance such that it creates a likeness to a watering hole in a forest or desert. If you have a garden pool, the forest watering hole ambiance is rather easy to create. You will just have to fill the area around the pool with some shrubs and use lights that help create the special effect of the surroundings. To thrill people, you could even have a player make animal noises. Simple changes to the surroundings can help create an excellent environment to have fun with friends and family. If your kids are scared of the water, an interesting environment is sure to coax them into giving it a try.
A sports-oriented design
You could segregate your pool into multiple areas, each specific to the conditions a particular sport requires. For example, you could have a net running through a major portion of the pool area so that you could play volleyball in the pool. This is a great source of exercise; not to mention that it is a lot of fun as well. Other sections could be for racing laps or short-distance diving. If you want to have many sport sections though, you will require quite a large swimming pool. This may not always be viable for the same reason.
